The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regard to the large amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result sassa of lack of sassa infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office devoted to service the area every day. The company level developed for intervention activities a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the read more office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to empower the servicing of all prospects and improve entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
